When checkboxes are turned on you can perform group operations with the nodes. Actually, each operation such as moving, copying, changing image and properties of a node is applied to all checked nodes (if the checkboxes are turned on)

The 'Show images' option allows you to hide the image list in order to enlarge your working space when the image list is not needed

You can turn checkboxes on and off by means of this menu item. When checkboxes are 'on' you may perform group operations with the nodes. Note that when you turn the checkboxes off all selections are cleared

Use this button to show and hide the list of image groups. It works like a switch: the same button turnes the list on and off

When you select an image group the image list is automatically populated with images from the selected group

You can easily change the layout of the widgets (such as the text area or toolbox) by selecting 'Portrait' or 'Landscape' mode. This doesn't change Windows's screen layout, rather it just rearranges parts of ErgoNotes GUI. This means that you can change this layout independently of actual screen orientation
