The orange background of this field indicates that you are in a special mode. In this case you are in search mode. Type in text to search for the node's name

Type text to search for the node's description

The 'pencil' icon indicates that you are in search mode (you can get to this mode by tapping the magnifying glass). To return to the normal node tap the 'pencil' icon

After you have entered text to search, tap one of these small triangles to search for the text in the tree. The triangle at the top searches forward, and one on the bottom searches backward
